The Building Blocks of Unity | PART ONE: the HOLY Spirit

As we are unified in the Holy Spirit as the bride of Christ, it’s important to understand the first part of His beautiful Name. HOLY.

Set apart, sacred, and pure. the HOLY Spirit. In order to avoid grieving the Holy Spirit of the LORD, although you are in this world, you cannot be of this world. We are called to pick up our cross and walk, every. single. day.

Once you understand this simple fact, you will understand that the way you act, talk, and live is a direct reflection of whether or not you are filled with His glorious Presence. As a man speaks, the condition of his heart is on full display. There will be fruit, and wonders will follow those who truly believe.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” – Mark 16:17-18

Know this also, if you believe that you will be saved merely by works or by what you do in your own strength (including how “good” of a person you claim to be – not one is good but Him), then you are NOT saved, yet. REPENT of this way of thinking, and ask God to change your heart. No one comes to the Father except through Him who sacrificed His life for us so that we could have eternal life with Him – that is, Jesus Christ. Once you accept Him as your LORD & Savior, believe He lived in a real human body on this earth, died on the cross for your sins, and rose from the dead on the third day – then you are saved through faith and by His marvelous grace! Be sure to let Him lead you and TRULY follow Him.

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.” – Revelation 12:10-12

As the beautiful bride of Christ, we are adorned in His righteousness as our covering. He is absolute perfection, and we must know that He lived an innocent life down here on earth and lives now seated at the right hand of our Heavenly Father. The only pure life in all of existence, and He took our transgressions upon Himself. Our sins are dead. They can’t drag us down with this world as it perishes. Why? Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. The Holy Spirit is the resurrection power of Christ and He is within us. If you have accepted the gift of salvation that Jesus paid for with His precious blood, then you. are. truly. FREE! Yes, FREE INDEED!

“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.” – Isaiah 61:10

“And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” – Revelation 19:5-9

“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” – Romans 8:10-11
